Just a few years ago, mentioning “organic clothing” would have raised some eyebrows!  What could that possible mean?  Today, we understand that every aspect of our lives can reflect our respect for the environment—even with our choices in clothing.  Children can be dressed in clothing with organic cotton fibers, which are much better for their sensitive skin than clothing made from conventional cotton.  In the list of crops with the heaviest use of pesticides, cotton ranks #3 in the world.  The chemicals with which conventional cotton is treated include the defoliant Paraquat and many pesticides that have been proven to cause various cancers.
