See the Light…Solar’s Future is Bright!

The time is finally right for solar power.  With energy costs getting out of hand and our current economic crisis, there are several factors that make the decision and pay-off easier and faster.  Over the last twenty years, manufacturers have been perfecting the efficiency of their systems.  In the last five years, contractors have been installing huge systems on city buildings in order to cut the ever-increasing energy costs.  In addition to costs coming down on the supply side due to better technology and higher volume, new government incentives allow you to realize the pay-off faster.

For existing construction, the most beneficial investment is photovoltaic (converting light to electricity), heating and cooling systems (solar thermal), concentrating solar power (utility scale) and lighting. In new construction, recent material and building system developments can be used to get even more efficiency out of the building.  Options include passive systems for heating and cooling, as well as new insulation systems to reduce energy requirements.
